Why These Prompts Work

The guitar amp metaphor for calibrating your voice.

Why These Prompts Work

These prompts work because they direct the AI to look for the specific idiosyncrasies that make your writing yours:

Narrative Bridges

You don't just start a story; you frame it. Writers often have a template they reach for unconsciously — something like "The story of [Name]... is one where..." to introduce case studies. The prompts surface these patterns.

Decision Phrasing

You have a distinct way of closing an argument. Maybe you use "It is for this reason that I..." or some other verdict structure. The prompts find these verbal fingerprints.

Personal Grounding

You ground abstract concepts in your reality — referencing past jobs, personal experiences, or life philosophies that make your writing feel lived-in rather than academic.

🎸 The Guitar Amp Metaphor

Think of these prompts as calibration tools. If your writing style were a guitar amp:

  • Prompt 1 sets the "Volume" and "Distortion" (Tone and Structure)
  • Prompt 2 adjusts the "Treble," "Mid," and "Bass" knobs (specific phrases and rhythm)

Together, they get the sound exactly right.
